Sheep and goat farming (small ruminants) is a growing niche in Georgia, which holds the fourth-largest goat population east of the Mississippi River. Producers across the state raise small ruminants for meat, artisanal dairy and fiber. Sheep also provide an eco-friendly targeted grazing solution for solar farm maintenance.

 

The Georgia Sheep and Wool Association

The Georgia Sheep and Wool Association is a not-for-profit farmers' network of sheep producers and supporters. Meat, lamb, mutton, wool, cheese, grazing services, fiber art, solar grazing, breeding and show stock: our members offer an array of sheep products and services. We are based in Georgia and have members from neighboring states.
