I want to own my own peace of land and use it to showcase sustainable agricultural practices and to bring people together.
I’m open to a working relationship with farmers also to get better prepared for owning my own farm one day. I would love to live on the property and assist in all management. I also have a camper which I can use on the property.
I’m very interested in managing acreage where I can either live in available housing or use my camper.
I also have a small turf management business in Atlanta. The work is mostly seasonal and my time is very flexible. So I’m looking for something within an hour or so of Atlanta.

Description of Desired Transitional Agreement
I want to start off by living and working on a farm near Atlanta while I continue running my small business for the time being. My dream is to live and work on a farm full time but for the next year or two I think it’s best I continue with my business, but need to live on land outside the city.
I’m strong and smart and a quick learner and would love to form a partnership with a farmer/landowner to live on the property, be a manager of the acreage, livestock, garden, etc part time with goals to go full time and get to a lease/work to own partnership.

A garden big enough to supply my family and friend with fresh vegetables, herbs, medicinal plants, and food for the chickens.
I want to raise meat and egg chickens(I created my own flock while living in Atlanta only a few miles from Lenox mall)
I also want to provide free range organic meat (cow, pig, chicken, sheep)

I’m easy. I’m cool with a tent in the woods. But luckily I have a camper. Would love sewer or septic hookup for camper and electricity. A barn would be good also.

I have about 10 years of landscaping experience and a degree in turfgrass management from UGA. I’m well versed in sustainable agricultural practices and would like to use my skill set on a farm rather than in the city.
I got a degree in turfgrass management from UGA and learned a lot of different things in the ag world.
My business, Jacobs Turf, focuses on soil first and reduced herbicide/pesticide use practices. We specialize in things like aeration and seeding, compost/sand topdressing, sod installation, irrigation installation, soil fertility, soil testing, and more!
