Plan
I’m based in Decatur (Atlanta area) and I’m seeking a long-term opportunity to learn and contribute on a working farm or ranch, with the goal of eventually stepping into a larger stewardship role. I’m new to hands-on ranch work, but I bring 20+ years of high-end hospitality leadership experience—showing up consistently, taking feedback well, staying calm under pressure, and doing the unglamorous work without ego. I’m dependable, coachable, and serious about earning competence the right way through consistent work and training—not shortcuts.
Additionally, my fiancé Dominique brings practical operational and digital experience that can help a farm or ranch modernize without losing its identity. She has rebuilt a nonprofit website, managed social media, and supported community-based fundraising and donor communications—skills that translate well to improving a ranch’s online presence, organizing inquiries, and communicating consistently with customers and the community. If it’s valuable to the landowner, we’re open to incorporating this kind of support into a phased arrangement alongside hands-on work and mentorship.
I’m looking for a landowner who could use reliable help and is open to a phased, trust-based transition. Ideally, I would start part-time on weekends assisting with labor, maintenance, and learning the operation, then progress toward a more structured arrangement as value and trust are proven—paid part-time help, farm support or management assistance, and potentially a lease/management pathway over time. I’m especially interested in learning cattle and horsemanship fundamentals properly, including fencing, feeding routines, pasture basics, maintenance, and safe animal handling.
My priority is being useful first and building a strong working relationship. Over time, if it’s a great fit, I’m open to exploring a longer-term transition plan that supports the landowner’s goals and legacy while keeping the property working—whether that looks like management responsibility, a multi-year lease, a partnership model, or a future purchase option.
Desired Transitional Agreement
Description of Desired Transitional Agreement
I’m looking for a phased, trust-based transition. Ideally:
- Start part-time (weekends) assisting with labor, maintenance, livestock chores, and learning the operation.
- Move into a more formal arrangement as value is proven—paid part-time help and/or farm management assistance.
- If it’s a strong mutual fit, transition into a longer-term structure such as a multi-year lease, lease-to-manage, partnership, or future purchase option.
- I’m also open to including in-kind support (website refresh, communications, and basic outreach systems) as part of a structured transition, if that’s helpful to the landowner.
I’m flexible on structure and want to find an arrangement that supports the landowner’s goals, timeline, and legacy while keeping the farm/ranch productive and cared for.

Additional Information on Produce or Livestock Needs
My primary goal is livestock and ranch skill-building—especially cattle and horsemanship—along with the land stewardship that supports it (fencing, pasture management basics, feeding routines, safe handling, and maintenance). I’m open to supporting existing operations rather than coming in with unrealistic production demands. Long-term, I’d like to grow into the competence needed to responsibly help manage livestock and the property.
My primary focus is cattle and horsemanship. Any additional categories selected reflect openness to supporting what a landowner already has in place (hay, orchard, market garden, etc.), rather than a plan to launch multiple new enterprises at once.
Preferred Equipment and Infrastructure
Equipment and Infrastructure Details
I’m flexible and can start with basic infrastructure. For livestock-focused learning, functional fencing, water access, and a secure storage/barn setup are ideal. I’m comfortable doing maintenance work and helping improve infrastructure over time. Equipment access is helpful but not required if the landowner has established systems and safety standards.

Farm Education/Training
Additional Info on Experience/Education
I’m transitioning into agriculture and ranch work and actively seeking hands-on training through a mentorship/work arrangement. My background includes 20+ years in high-end hospitality management and operations: team leadership, systems/SOPs, customer service, safety, and high accountability.
Beyond my commitment to hands-on learning, Dominique can contribute meaningful “behind-the-scenes” capacity. She has rebuilt a nonprofit website, managed social media, and supported community-based fundraising campaigns. For a farm or ranch, that can look like keeping online information current, helping prospects actually reach you, organizing customer inquiries, and building simple systems that make day-to-day communication easier—especially for landowners who would rather focus on the land than technology.
This kind of support can help reduce missed calls/messages, improve consistency, and make it easier for the right customers to find the ranch—without adding more work for the owner.
I’m physically capable, dependable, and comfortable with early mornings, repetitive work, and learning by doing. I’m especially interested in building practical ranch skills over time—cattle fundamentals and horsemanship (safe handling, groundwork, riding basics), along with fencing, pasture work, feeding routines, maintenance, and equipment safety. I’m willing to start with the unglamorous work, take direction well, and earn trust through consistency.
