Plan

We are exploring options to purchase the property through the USDA Minority Farm Loan Program or enter into a rent-to-own agreement. Our mission is to sustain and enhance the farm’s legacy while making it a thriving hub for urban agriculture, community engagement, and sustainable food production.

Our Vision for the Farm

Livestock & Sustainable Farming: We plan to maintain the existing pasture for grazing and introduce a diverse range of livestock, including horses, goats, pigs, and chickens, creating a balanced and regenerative farming system.

Organic Fruits, Vegetables, & Herbs: We will cultivate high-value crops suitable for Georgia’s climate, such as blueberries, peaches, tomatoes, and medicinal herbs, catering to both local markets and farm-to-table enthusiasts.

Community Engagement & Education: We want to ensure the farm remains a valuable educational and agricultural resource, providing hands-on experiences in sustainable farming, environmental conservation, and organic food production.

Description of Desired Transitional Agreement

We are open to a rent-to-own model or owner financing, allowing us to take over farm operations while working toward full ownership. This structure would enable us to establish our farm business, complete necessary USDA loan requirements, and gradually integrate our vision into the property.

If a rent-to-own agreement is an option, we would propose:

A structured lease with a portion of the rent contributing toward the down payment.

A timeline that allows us to finalize USDA financing and transition to ownership.

Collaborative planning with you (if desired) to ensure the farm remains aligned with its original community-focused mission.

If an outright purchase with owner financing is an option, we would be happy to discuss flexible terms that align with your needs and the USDA loan approval process.

Additional Info on Experience/Education

I am a passionate advocate for sustainable agriculture, community-driven food systems, and farm-to-table practices. With a Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Agriculture, my academic foundation combines a deep understanding of storytelling, marketing, and business communication with fundamental agricultural principles.

My journey into farming has been driven by both passion and experience. As a former farm-to-table chef and restaurant owner, I developed a profound appreciation for sourcing fresh, locally grown ingredients and understanding the importance of regenerative farming practices. Over the past two to three years, I have gained firsthand experience in small-scale farming, working with livestock, organic produce, and sustainable land management techniques. This hands-on knowledge, combined with my culinary background, has given me a unique perspective on bridging the gap between farmers, consumers, and the broader food community.

My vision is to create a thriving farm that not only produces high-quality organic food but also serves as an educational and community hub—a place where people can reconnect with the land, learn about sustainable agriculture, and experience the beauty of fresh, farm-grown ingredients. By leveraging social media and my background in the food industry, I aim to expand the farm’s reach, establish direct-to-consumer sales, and create opportunities for collaboration with local markets, chefs, and businesses.

I am eager to continue growing as a farmer, preserving agricultural traditions while embracing innovative and sustainable practices. This farm represents more than just a business opportunity—it is a chance to build a legacy that supports both the land and the community it serves.
