Plan
I'm a beginning farmer with a professional background in enterprise IT and systems, now transitioning to the land. My plan starts as a regenerative homestead and grows deliberately into a small worker-owned cooperative farm rooted in food sovereignty and community wealth-building. I'm looking for land near the Atlanta area with a landowner open to a stewardship, mentoring, or co-farming path toward ownership. I've done extensive due diligence on land, soil, water, zoning, and tax treatment, and I'm pursuing beginning-farmer training. I bring reliability, systems thinking, careful planning, and a long-term commitment to the soil and the community around it.
Desired Transitional Agreement
Description of Desired Transitional Agreement
I'm flexible and relationship-first, open to owner-financed purchase, lease-to-own, a cooperative model, or a farm-management/stewardship path. I'm especially drawn to a land-stewardship or co-farming arrangement: rather than a fixed monthly cash rent, I would care for and improve the land in exchange for secure tenure and a gradual path to ownership or long-term stewardship. This suits landowners who want their land loved and kept whole, and want a reliable, long-term partner on it.

Additional Information on Produce or Livestock Needs
A diversified permaculture operation: market garden and herbs, a perennial food forest and orchard, with woodlot and forest products from wooded acreage. Production feeds the cooperative community first, then a CSA, farmers markets, and Black-owned grocers and restaurants in the region. The goal is steady, ecological production that builds soil and local food access year over year, scaled to what the land and community can sustainably support.
Preferred Equipment and Infrastructure
Equipment and Infrastructure Details
Existing farmer housing is a priority, since the model is a small cooperative community, so on-site living space (or room to add it) matters most. A reliable water source (well or pond), a barn, and perimeter fencing are ideal, and a greenhouse supports year-round and soil-independent growing. I'm comfortable improving or building infrastructure over time; I care more about good land, water, and a willing landowner than turnkey buildings.
