I am looking for an opportunity to develop my agricultural practice while building toward a long-term vision of land-based community care through Rooted in Wisdom, the 501(c)(3) organisation I founded.
My interests include growing vegetables, culinary and medicinal herbs, culturally meaningful food crops, seed saving, composting, soil health, regenerative growing practices, and deepening my understanding of sustainable and circular farming systems. I am particularly interested in hands-on learning, mentorship, and becoming a more skilled and confident farmer.
Long-term, I envision Rooted in Wisdom having a physical home where our programmes, training, workshops, children's education, community gatherings, food sovereignty initiatives, herbalism education, and wellness programming can take place alongside meaningful agricultural production and land stewardship.
I am also interested in an opportunity that could eventually support my family living on the land while I steward and develop my agricultural practice alongside the nonprofit's work. I see residential life, farming, community education, and stewardship as complementary pieces of a larger land-based vision.
I am looking for land access, an opportunity to develop my own acreage, mentorship, cooperative relationships, and a community where I can learn, contribute, and grow something sustainable for both my family and the communities I serve.

I am particularly interested in a cooperative model that allows me to develop my own small-scale agricultural practice while participating in shared planning, land stewardship, learning, and community responsibilities.
I would value an arrangement in which I can take responsibility for a defined area of land, grow vegetables, culinary and medicinal herbs, and other appropriate crops, while learning from experienced farmers and contributing to the property's broader regenerative vision.
Long-term, I am interested in developing a relationship with the land that can support both my family's life and my work through Rooted in Wisdom. My vision is to eventually have a physical place where the nonprofit's educational programmes, training, workshops, children's programming, community gatherings, food sovereignty initiatives, and wellness work can coexist with agriculture and responsible land stewardship.
I am open to learning which structure works best for the landowners and the cooperative, particularly regarding responsibilities, housing, acreage, shared resources, and financial arrangements. My primary needs are infrastructure that would allow me to establish and sustainably manage a small-scale agricultural practice while participating in the broader cooperative land stewardship model.
Reliable water access and irrigation are particularly important for establishing and maintaining crops. I would also value access to a greenhouse, basic farm equipment, storage space, electricity, and appropriate post-harvest infrastructure such as washing, processing, and cold storage.
Because I am an emerging farmer, access to shared equipment and infrastructure would be especially valuable as I continue to develop my skills and determine which crops and systems are best suited to Georgia's climate and soil.
Farmer housing is also an important consideration because I am interested in an arrangement that could eventually allow my family and me to live on the land while I actively steward and develop my agricultural practice.
I am open to learning about the infrastructure already available on the property and how shared resources are managed within the cooperative.

My background in agriculture begins with my upbringing in Haiti, where I was surrounded by family and communities connected to agricultural production and food processing. From a young age, I was exposed to the cultivation and use of crops, including sugarcane, tropical fruits, vegetables, peanuts, rice, wheat, and cacao, as well as food processing, such as making peanut butter, flour, and other foods from locally grown crops.
Although I was young and was not independently operating a farm, those experiences gave me an early understanding of the relationship between land, food, cultivation, processing, family, and community.
Since moving to the United States, I have continued developing my relationship with plants through gardening, herbalism, food sovereignty, and homesteading. I recognise that Georgia's soil, climate, growing seasons, and agricultural systems are very different from those I experienced in Haiti, and I am eager to develop the region-specific knowledge and practical skills needed to farm successfully here.
My professional background also includes more than a decade in education, community wellness, herbalism, maternal care, and family programming. I hope to bring these experiences together as I develop as an emerging farmer and eventually connect agriculture with Rooted in Wisdom's land-based education and community programmes.
