Plan

I am the owner of Dearest Garden, a peaceful gardening-focused content business centered on sustainable practices, pollinator-friendly gardening, and inspiring a love for nature.

I am currently looking to purchase approximately one acre of land to expand my gardening efforts and continue sharing meaningful, nature-inspired content. Ideally, the land would support eco-friendly gardening practices and future possibilities for small-scale community engagement.

Desired Transitional Agreement

  • Sale
  • Lease
  • Cooperative Model

Description of Desired Transitional Agreement

I am open to a variety of transitional arrangements, including purchase, lease, cooperative agreements, or potentially a partnership if our visions align. Ideally, I would like a lease-to-own.  My goal is to establish a space that supports sustainable flower and vegetable production (main focus being cut flowers), pollinator conservation, and community engagement while continuing to grow my gardening content business, Dearest Garden. A partnership or cooperative setup would be particularly appealing if it allows for shared resources, mentorship, or collaboration that helps bring this vision to life while benefiting both parties.

Livestock

  • Bees
  • Poultry

Additional Information on Produce or Livestock Needs

My primary produce goals center around growing flowers, with an emphasis on creating a large-scale kitchen garden aesthetic. I plan to grow a variety of flowers for both cut flowers and pollinator conservation, as well as vegetables and fruit. I envision a farm that blends beauty and function, offering a peaceful environment where visitors can enjoy nature, while also supporting the local ecosystem. In addition to my produce goals, I am interested in raising goats, chickens, and ducks primarily for ambiance and enjoyment, helping create a farm-like atmosphere. While beekeeping is appealing for pollination purposes, I am unable to pursue it due to family allergies. My focus will be on cultivating a diverse, sustainable space for both people andlwildlife.

Preferred Equipment and Infrastructure

  • Barn / Storage
  • Fencing
  • Well / Pond / Other Water Source
  • Greenhouse
  • Farm Equipment
  • Processing Facilities
  • Irrigation Equipment
  • Cold Storage (Cooler/Freezer)
  • Access to Electricity

Equipment and Infrastructure Details

I am in need of basic infrastructure to support small-scale flower and vegetable production, including water management systems, rainwater harvesting setup, and a reliable irrigation system. A small shed or barn for tool storage and workspace would also be ideal, as well as fencing for garden protection. Additionally, I would need access to basic farming equipment such as hand tools, carts etc. I prefer the no-till/no dig method to gardening.   As my operation grows, I would consider adding structures like a small greenhouse, composting areas, and high tunnel.

Additional Info on Experience/Education

I have three years of experience growing flowers and vegetables through my work with Dearest Garden, where I focus on sustainable and pollinator-friendly gardening practices. While I do not have direct farming experience, I’ve cultivated a deep understanding of plant care, garden planning, and small-scale production techniques. My educational background includes a B.S. in Business Administration, which has equipped me with strong organizational, marketing, and financial management skills. These skills help me approach land stewardship with both creativity and a practical mindset.
