Plan
We are Pastor LeoFisher “Don” and Dr. Lyn C. Inah, a married couple seeking approximately 12 to 40 acres near the Atlanta metropolitan area to establish a multigenerational, family-operated working farm and educational homestead. We intend to live on the property, so an existing home suitable for year-round family living is essential.
We are particularly interested in a landowner seeking committed nonfamily successors who would consider gifting and deeding the farm and existing home to us. We would welcome mentorship during our first two to three growing seasons, with the possibility of continuing by mutual agreement.
Don is Liberian, and Lyn is Black American and a Georgia native. Our family includes our sons, Anthony, Praise, and David; our grandchildren, Asher and Beaux, who are the children of our late son Stephen (who died in a car accident in 2020); and Lyn’s 80-year-old widowed mother, who will live with us. Stephen was an outdoorsman who was passionate about hunting and fishing. Part of our vision is to honor his memory by passing an appreciation for the outdoors to his children and future generations.
Our agricultural vision includes seasonal vegetables, culinary herbs, fruit trees, berries, chickens for eggs, goats, and a pond for fish production and family fishing. Tilapia is a species we would like to explore after assessing its suitability for the property and production system. We envision farm-share subscriptions that connect local households with regular boxes of seasonal food.
We would introduce crops and animals in phases, beginning at a manageable scale and expanding as our knowledge, infrastructure, resources, and customer relationships grow.
As the farm becomes established, we would offer workshops in gardening, food preparation and preservation, animal care, and practical homesteading skills. Qualified instructors could eventually teach home and vehicle maintenance. Bible studies, faith-informed wellness education, and leadership development would also be part of our community programming.
Our longer-term vision includes a multipurpose chapel for worship, weddings, educational programs, and gatherings, along with an outdoor pavilion. We may also explore a small number of tiny homes for family accommodation. These additions would depend on available resources and the property’s permitted uses.
Don brings agricultural study and experience supervising work on a pineapple plantation in the Philippines since 2020. Lyn brings experience in adult education, coaching, leadership development, program administration, and community outreach. Lyn is based in Georgia, and Don anticipates joining her in the United States later in 2026.
Our first priorities would be establishing our residence, assessing soil and water, evaluating infrastructure, and beginning agricultural production. We would value the opportunity to learn from a landowner who wants their farm to continue serving a meaningful purpose.
Our goal is to honor the owner’s legacy while building a lasting family home and productive farm that serves the community and passes practical knowledge across generations.
Desired Transitional Agreement
Description of Desired Transitional Agreement
Our preferred arrangement is a gifted transfer of a farm and its existing residence from a landowner who wishes to preserve the property’s agricultural use and pass their legacy to committed nonfamily successors.
We are seeking an owner who appreciates our multigenerational vision and would welcome the opportunity to mentor us. We propose an initial mentorship period of two to three growing seasons, with annual reviews and the possibility of continuing by mutual agreement. We would value guidance on the property’s soils, crops, equipment, seasonal routines, animal care where applicable, and local markets.
Because the property would become our family’s permanent home, we seek a completed, legally documented transfer of ownership of the land and residence before we relocate or make substantial investments. Our goal is secure ownership that is independent of the continuation of any mentoring or working relationship.
During the mentorship period, we would be open to discussing a time-limited share of net farm profits in recognition of the former owner’s agreed work and contributions. The percentage and terms would be mutually agreed upon, with clearly defined responsibilities, expenses, compensation, and an end date.
We would work with appropriate legal and tax professionals to document the property transfer and any separate mentoring or operating agreement. We would discuss our proposed residential, agricultural, educational, and gathering uses openly so both parties understand the vision.
Our goal is to honor the owner’s legacy while establishing a secure family home and a sustainable agricultural future for the property.

Additional Information on Produce or Livestock Needs
We envision a diversified family farm producing seasonal vegetables, culinary herbs, fruit, eggs, and fish, with chickens and goats as part of the operation.
Our crop production would begin with vegetables and herbs suited to Georgia’s growing conditions and local demand. We would evaluate fruit trees and berry plantings after assessing the property. Where growing conditions and demand support them, we would explore crops used in African and African American cooking.
We plan to keep chickens for eggs and raise goats, with the herd’s purpose and size determined during business planning. We would also like a pond suitable for fish production and family fishing. Tilapia is a species of interest, subject to evaluating climate suitability, water management, and applicable requirements.
We envision growing food for our household and selling through farm-share subscriptions, direct sales, and community relationships. Crops and animal enterprises would be introduced in phases according to available infrastructure, resources, customer demand, and our ability to provide proper care.
The farm would support practical learning across generations, including gardening, animal care, and food preparation and preservation. Family members could participate according to their ages, interests, and abilities.
A suitable fishing pond could also provide a meaningful way to honor our late son Stephen’s passion for fishing and share that appreciation with his children, Asher and Beaux.
Preferred Equipment and Infrastructure
Equipment and Infrastructure Details
An existing house suitable for year-round family living is essential. We plan to reside on the farm and need housing appropriate for a multigenerational household. Safe, accessible living arrangements are particularly important because Lyn’s 80-year-old mother will live with us. A ground-floor bedroom and bathroom or single-level living space would be desirable.
We also need suitable growing land, dependable irrigation water, electricity, practical vehicle access, and secure storage. Existing irrigation, usable farm equipment, a greenhouse or high tunnel, and cold storage would be valuable. Some features could be added in phases.
For chickens and goats, we would need secure poultry housing, appropriate livestock shelter, goat-suitable fencing, and reliable water. We would assess existing structures and fencing before introducing animals.
An existing pond suitable for fish production and family fishing would be desirable. If no suitable pond exists, we would explore whether the property could support one after assessing soils, water availability, construction feasibility, and applicable requirements. Tilapia is a species of interest, subject to evaluating the climate and production system.
We are seeking approximately 12 to 40 total acres with sufficient usable land for agriculture, family living, and carefully planned improvements. A mix of open and wooded acreage would be welcome.
Our longer-term plans include a multipurpose chapel and education/event space for worship, weddings, workshops, and gatherings, plus an outdoor pavilion. We may eventually explore a small number of tiny homes for family accommodation.
We would evaluate permitted uses, access, parking, water, septic capacity, utilities, and suitable building areas before developing additional structures. Agricultural production would remain central to the property.
