Description of Desired Transitional Agreement
I am looking for an opportunity to learn from and work alongside an established farmer, with the goal of gradually taking on greater responsibility in the operation. I am especially interested in connecting with a farmer or landowner who is considering long-term farm succession and does not currently have a clear successor. I am open to beginning through hands-on work, mentorship, farm management, or a business partnership, with the possibility of transitioning into full farm operations and eventual ownership if it becomes a good fit for both parties.

My primary interest is in diversified edible production, including vegetables, fruits, herbs, and fruit trees, with poultry as a strong interest. I am also open to learning and eventually incorporating bees, cattle, sheep/goats, fish, or equine animals where they are already part of an established farm operation. I am especially interested in learning sustainable, integrated farming practices that connect crop production, livestock, soil health, and long-term land stewardship. I am flexible regarding the farm’s existing production and would value the opportunity to learn from an experienced farmer.

I am most interested in an established farm with existing infrastructure that would allow me to learn and gradually take on greater operational responsibility. Reliable water access and irrigation are priorities, and existing farm equipment, storage, greenhouse or high-tunnel space, electricity, and cold storage would be highly beneficial. I am also interested in incorporating livestock, particularly chickens, and would welcome existing fencing or livestock facilities, although those are not requirements. I am flexible and do not expect every item to already be in place, particularly where there is an opportunity to learn from an experienced farmer and grow into a long-term management or succession role.
