Hello friends,
We are a family of four—my husband (47, with a stable career), myself (40, teacher and mother), and our two children (16 & 3). Our journey right now isn’t just about finding land or a house—it’s about a bigger purpose: my husband needs hip surgery, and the only way we can make that happen is by dramatically changing our lifestyle.
We’re willing to work hard and “rough it” if we have to. Whether it’s finding that rare, long-term rental on acreage, or even joining/starting a small off-grid “tent city” type setup for a year, our goal is to cut expenses and save enough to cover his surgery and recovery.
We’re no strangers to this kind of life. We previously owned a farm, and my husband also built houses—so we know how to care for a property, and we’re not afraid of projects. In fact, we’d welcome the chance to take on repairs, renovations, or to help care for land that’s become “too much” for someone else. My 16-year-old would love to work the land alongside us.
Our history is one of resilience. After losing everything to Hurricane Ian in Port Charlotte, we sold what little we could and came back to Georgia. For nearly four years we’ve rented, always on time (never a single late payment), never calling landlords for repairs or issues. We know what homeowners expect because we’ve been on both sides.
Now, we’re looking for something special—a home on some land, where we can dig in and thrive for years to come. Maybe you (or someone you know, maybe aging family or friends) have a property that needs dependable, long-term tenants who will truly love and care for it.
We believe in faith, not fear—and in trying, because you never know who’s out there reading this. Thank you so much for taking the time, and if you know of an opportunity, please reach out.
Warmly,
Angela & The Radford family

I grew up on a horse ranch in Tennessee, riding and raising horses all through my teens. Later, we ran a small goat farm where we also raised ducks and pigs, and we’ve always had livestock dogs alongside us. My husband and I have built barns, sheds, and other farm structures over the years, and he’s even built three homes from the ground up.
We don’t have much experience in crop farming yet, but we’re eager to learn. For us, this isn’t a hobby or a short-term dream—it’s the lifestyle we want to commit to. Our goal is to find our “village,” build relationships, and create a life centered around hard work, care for the land, and meeting the needs of the people around us.
