I’m an early-career farmer with hands-on experience in urban crop production, plant care, greenhouse growing, irrigation, soil health, transplanting, harvesting, and sustainable/no-dig growing practices. I recently completed agricultural training through Central State University Extension and have also supported agricultural research comparing no-dig and conventional growing systems.
I’m looking for an opportunity where I can continue building my experience while gradually developing a farm operation of my own. I’m especially interested in vegetables, herbs, specialty crops, medicinal and wellness-focused plants, greenhouse production, and regenerative growing practices.
I’m open to several arrangements depending on the landowner and property, including leasing acreage, paid farm management, a working partnership, cooperative arrangements, or a longer-term pathway toward ownership or farm succession. I’m also very interested in properties where an established farmer or landowner is looking for someone younger to help maintain, grow, or eventually take on more responsibility for the operation.
I don’t expect to start with a huge amount of acreage. I would rather begin with a manageable production area, learn the land well, build reliable markets and systems, and expand responsibly over time. Access to irrigation, greenhouse or high-tunnel space, basic farm infrastructure, equipment, or affordable on-site housing would be especially valuable, but I’m open to discussing different opportunities.
Long term, I want to build a financially sustainable farm centered around good soil stewardship, high-quality crops, community access to fresh food, and plant-based products. I’m looking for a landowner who is open to working with someone who is serious about farming, still growing professionally, and interested in building something that can last.

I’m open to different arrangements depending on the property and landowner, but I am primarily looking for an opportunity that provides paid farm work or reliable income while I continue building my experience and taking on more responsibility.
I’m especially interested in paid farm management or assistant management opportunities, working partnerships, cooperative arrangements, or situations where employment can eventually grow into access to land. I’m also open to leasing acreage if it can be combined with paid work on the larger farm or another realistic source of income.
I’m still early in my farming career, so I’m looking for an opportunity where I can bring the hands-on experience I already have, continue learning the business and management side of farming, and prove myself through the work.
Long term, I would love to build toward managing my own production area and potentially a larger part of the farm. If it is a good fit for everyone involved, I’m also interested in opportunities that could eventually develop into a long-term lease, business partnership, farm succession, or ownership pathway.

My primary interest is plant production, especially vegetables, fruits, culinary and medicinal herbs, flowers, specialty crops, and nursery or greenhouse plants. I’m interested in developing a diversified growing operation rather than focusing on a single crop.
I’m particularly interested in regenerative and sustainable production methods that improve soil health, support pollinators, and make good use of the land over time. I would like to explore both field and protected growing through greenhouse or high-tunnel production.
Long term, I’m interested in developing specialty herb and wellness-focused crops alongside food production and exploring value-added products as the farm grows. I’m also open to learning additional production systems that make sense for the property and existing farm operation.
My immediate goal would be to start at a manageable scale, develop strong production and market systems, and expand gradually rather than trying to farm a large amount of acreage all at once.

I’m flexible and don’t expect a property to already have every piece of infrastructure listed above. My biggest priorities are reliable water and irrigation, access to electricity, basic storage, and access to farm equipment when available.
Greenhouse or high-tunnel space would be especially valuable because I’m interested in vegetable, herb, specialty crop, and greenhouse production. Cold storage would also be helpful for developing a market-oriented operation.
Affordable farmer housing is a major plus, especially for opportunities that would require relocation. I’m particularly interested in properties where existing infrastructure and equipment can be shared or incorporated into a farm management, employment, partnership, or lease arrangement.

Additional Info on Experience/Education
I completed the Fast Track Farming program through Central State University Extension, where I received hands-on training in sustainable crop production, greenhouse growing, soil and compost management, irrigation, season extension, specialty crops, and agribusiness basics.
I also have paid hands-on farm experience with The Garden for All in Columbus, Ohio, where I worked throughout the crop cycle including bed preparation, transplanting, irrigation, weeding, crop care, and harvesting. I supported a SARE-funded research project comparing no-dig and conventional growing systems and helped maintain research and production plots.
My additional plant experience includes professional plant care and merchandising, maintaining live plants in retail garden departments, as well as independent vegetable, herb, and container growing projects.
I’m still early in my farming career, but I’m actively building my production knowledge and looking for opportunities that will allow me to develop stronger farm management, business, and land stewardship skills.
