Plan

We are looking for a farm or equestrian property where we can build a lasting future while preserving the land, its animals, and the legacy of those who have cared for it. Our dream is to find a property whose owners share our desire to protect it from development and see it remain a working farm for generations to come.

We are especially interested in connecting with owners who may be ready to transition the responsibility of caring for their property but want to know that everything they have worked so hard to create will be loved and maintained.

We are open to creative ownership arrangements, including seller financing, lease-to-own, or a gradual transfer of ownership. Current owners would be welcome to continue living on the property, if desired, and remain part of its future.

More than simply purchasing land, we hope to build a meaningful relationship with someone who wants to see their farm and its legacy continue. We would consider it a privilege to be its next stewards.

Desired Transitional Agreement

  • Cooperative Model
  • Business Partnership

Description of Desired Transitional Agreement

We are seeking a flexible, mutually beneficial arrangement with a farm owner who wants to preserve their property and ensure its legacy continues for generations to come.

We are open to a gradual transition of ownership, lease-to-own, seller financing, or another creative arrangement that provides financial security and peace of mind for the current owner while allowing our family to assume responsibility for the care and maintenance of the farm and its animals.

We would especially welcome an arrangement where the current owners could continue living on the property for as long as they wish, remaining connected to the land, animals, and traditions they have spent a lifetime building.

Our hope is to develop a lasting relationship built on trust, respect, and a shared love for the property. We are not simply looking to acquire land. We want to honor what someone has created, protect it from development, and carry their dream forward as part of our own.

Additional Information on Produce or Livestock Needs

Our primary goal is to establish a small, sustainable equestrian farm where we can care for horses and other farm animals while preserving the land and its agricultural heritage. Our daughter, Molly, is a dedicated equestrian, and we hope to create a place where she can continue pursuing her passion for horses and eventing.

We would also love to incorporate gardens, fruit trees, and other small-scale agricultural activities as we learn and grow. We are open to continuing existing livestock or agricultural operations and learning from the current owners.

Our vision is not focused on large-scale commercial production, but rather on responsible land stewardship, exceptional animal care, and creating a farm that remains productive, beautiful, and loved for generations to come.

Preferred Equipment and Infrastructure

  • Farmer Housing
  • Barn / Storage
  • Fencing
  • Well / Pond / Other Water Source
  • Barn - Livestock

Equipment and Infrastructure Details

Ideally, we are looking for an established farm or equestrian property with usable pastureland, secure fencing, a barn or suitable horse shelter, reliable water access, and space for equipment and feed storage. Existing stalls, a riding arena, and basic farm equipment would be wonderful, but are not essential.

Our priority is a safe, functional property where horses and other farm animals can be well cared for. We are open to making improvements over time and maintaining existing infrastructure with respect for the property's history and character.

We are also flexible about sharing existing facilities and equipment with current owners during a gradual transition. Our goal is to preserve and thoughtfully improve what is already there rather than unnecessarily replace it.

Additional Info on Experience/Education

Our family has a deep love and appreciation for horses, animals, and the land. Our daughter, Molly, is an accomplished equestrian who has spent years training, competing in eventing, and helping care for horses. She also has experience working at an equestrian facility, assisting with daily barn responsibilities and teaching beginner riding lessons.

As a longtime real estate professional, I bring extensive experience in property ownership, land values, and the responsibilities involved in maintaining and protecting real estate investments.

While we do not currently own a farm, we understand that caring for one requires dedication, hard work, and a long-term commitment. We are eager to continue learning from experienced farm owners and would welcome the opportunity to preserve the traditions, care for the animals, and carry forward the legacy of a property that has meant so much to another family.
