I am seeking farmland to establish a purpose-driven agricultural sanctuary that supports veterans transitioning back into civilian life. The goal is to create a peaceful working farm where veterans can live, work, and heal through agriculture, animal care, and community connection.
The property will serve as a farm-based living and training environment that provides housing for veterans while they gain hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture, animal care, and land stewardship. Veterans participating in the program will help operate the farm by growing food, maintaining the land, and caring for animals.
A key part of the mission is the integration of support animals. Rescued farm animals and companion animals will be cared for on the property and will also serve as emotional support and therapeutic companions for veterans. Working with animals has been shown to help reduce stress, build routine, and restore a sense of purpose.
The long-term vision is to develop a self-sustaining farm that produces food through crops and small livestock while also providing a safe and restorative living environment for veterans. Revenue may come from agricultural production, farm goods, community farm events, and partnerships that support veteran wellness and agricultural training.
I am looking for farmland where this vision can grow—whether through a long-term lease, lease-to-own arrangement, partnership with a landowner, or other creative land access opportunities. Ideally the property would include enough acreage for farming activities, animal care, and simple housing for participating veterans.
My goal is to honor the land by keeping it productive while using it to support veterans, agriculture, and animal stewardship for years to come.
Desired Transitional Agreement
Description of Desired Transitional Agreement
I am open to several types of transitional arrangements depending on the landowner’s goals. My preference is to begin with a long-term lease or lease-to-own agreement that allows me to establish the farm program while building toward eventual ownership or permanent stewardship of the land.
I am also open to cooperative models or business partnerships with landowners who want to remain involved with the property while helping develop a mission-driven agricultural project that supports veterans. If a landowner prefers a management arrangement, I am willing to manage and maintain the farm in exchange for the opportunity to build the agricultural and veteran support program on the property.
My goal is to create a long-term, sustainable farm that keeps the land productive while developing housing for veterans, agricultural training opportunities, and animal care programs that include support animals for veterans. I am committed to caring for the land responsibly and honoring the legacy of the property for generations to come.
I am happy to work collaboratively with landowners to design an arrangement that benefits both the landowner and the mission of the farm.
