Agriculture educator looking to return to farming full-time. Motivated by regenerative/agroforestry/ecologically-driven production opportunity. Interested in developing partnerships, taking on a lease, cooperative arrangements, etc.
I am primarily interested in silvopastoral systems and integrating the practical efficiency of conventional systems with the resilience and regenerative potential of agroecology. These systems are moderately well understood in North America, but are highly developed and effective in the tropics, like in Brazil where they are able to produce six times the amount of food and energy as in a conventional system alone. In the southeast, where development is happening rapidly, agriculture is going to need to adapt to do more with less and I hope to be a small part of that process.
