I am seeking farm land to lease or purchase within a 30-40 minute drive from Athens, GA. I plan to run a diversified fruit/vegetable/livestock operation to provide food to the greater Athens community and build community connections through farm-based events.

I am open to exploring purchasing land, leasing to own, and more traditional lease arrangements. I am interested in placing farmland in a conservation easement to preserve agricultural land in perpetuity.

Initially, I would like space to pasture raise poultry in mobile coops. I am interested in land that has pasture for future cattle and sheep rotational grazing.

The ideal farm would have barn storage space, a well, electricity, and either space or existing post harvest fruit and vegetable processing and storage facilities. Farmer housing or space for eventual housing is needed.

I graduated from UGA in 2019 with a B.S. in Horticulture with an emphasis in sustainable food production, with certificates in organic agriculture and local food systems. I have worked a variety of farm jobs, beginning as a farm hand in high school and now in a farm management position with a non-profit. I currently manage a 130 acre farm. I have interned and learned biodynamic beekeeping from a NE GA farmer and care for 6 hives. I have animal husbandry experience with the following livestock: Goats, sheep, alpacas, cattle, donkeys, chickens, and turkeys.
