Plan
ForgeField Foundation is an international agricultural research and rural development non-profit dedicated to advancing climate-resilient agriculture, precision farming frameworks, and digital soil mapping. Drawing upon over two decades of technical and academic expertise in agricultural engineering—including specialized training in dairy husbandry and milk processing from the Netherlands, coupled with advanced research in soil organic carbon dynamics and hydroclimatic stress moderation—our team brings a rigorous, science-driven approach to land stewardship.
Our overarching goal is to establish a pilot and operational hub that integrates sustainable crop production, precision soil health monitoring, and capacity-building demonstrations. We aim to implement cutting-edge precision technologies (such as remote sensing and optimized soil management frameworks) to enhance rainfed system resilience, improve soil organic carbon sequestration, and serve as an educational touchpoint for regional agricultural development. Through this initiative, ForgeField seeks to bridge advanced agricultural research with practical, on-the-ground farming operations that benefit local food systems and long-term environmental sustainability.
Desired Transitional Agreement
Description of Desired Transitional Agreement
We are seeking a flexible transitional arrangement—such as a phased lease, lease-to-own agreement, or a collaborative land-access partnership—designed to transition smoothly into long-term tenure or ownership.
Given our objective to establish an operational research hub and demonstration farm, an initial multi-year lease with clear renewal options or a gradual equity-building arrangement (lease-to-own) is ideal. We are also open to landowner collaborations where we can co-manage or steward portions of the property to pilot precision agriculture technologies, integrate climate-smart practices, and build a sustainable, long-term foundation for the site.

Additional Information on Produce or Livestock Needs
Our production and research model centers on building an integrated, high-efficiency living laboratory that combines practical farm production with advanced agricultural science. Drawing on hands-on practical training in dairy husbandry, milk processing, and sustainable farm management, our goals focus on full-system balance and closed-loop nutrient management:
Integrated Row Crops & Forage: Utilizing row crops (such as maize and grains) alongside hay and strategic fallow rotations to conduct field-scale trials on soil organic carbon sequestration, hydroclimatic stress moderation, and precision soil mapping.
Diversified Horticulture: Cultivating vegetables and small fruit plots to analyze diverse canopy cover, root-zone dynamics, and regenerative intercropping methods.
Ecological & Livestock Integration: Managing apiaries (bees) to optimize pollination ecology and crop yield metrics, with plans to expand into integrated animal husbandry and processing. This creates a closed-loop system where livestock, crop nutrient cycling, and high-value processing work in tandem for maximum efficiency and environmental resilience.
