- Phase 2: Knowledge Transfer & Training: Establish cross-training between farm workers and manufacturing staff. Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)—particularly regarding biosecurity, USDA regulations, and cold-chain logistics—are fully documented.
- Phase 3: Resource & Asset Integration: Plan the handoff of infrastructure. Clarify the handover of supply contracts, equipment leases, and facility access between the farm and the production facility.
- Phase 4: Phased Implementation: Execute changes gradually to maintain business continuity. Avoid full operational overhauls at once; instead, test the alignment through smaller collaborative production runs before scaling up.
- Phase 5: Evaluation & Ongoing Support: Monitor key performance indicators such as yield consistency, processing times, and defect rates to ensure the transition yields the expected business value.
