Blue Lotus Ministries, Inc. Is Seeking Farmland for Community Impact and Sustainable Agriculture
Blue Lotus Ministries, Inc. is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Middle Georgia. Our mission is to strengthen communities through food security initiatives, sustainable agriculture and outreach programs that serve families, seniors, veterans, and individuals experiencing hardship.
We are currently seeking agricultural land in Georgia that can serve as the foundation for a long-term community farm and educational growing space. Our goal is to develop a sustainable operation that produces fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and other agricultural products to support our community outreach efforts, including our Need to Feed Outreach Initiative.
The property would be used to:
• Grow fresh produce for food distribution programs serving low-income families, seniors, and individuals facing food insecurity.
• Develop educational opportunities focused on gardening, homesteading, sustainable agriculture, and self-sufficiency.
• Create volunteer and youth engagement opportunities that connect community members with agriculture and environmental stewardship.
• Establish a long-term agricultural resource that supports both charitable outreach and community development throughout Middle Georgia.
We are open to various opportunities, including land donations, agricultural partnerships, or other creative solutions that allow farmland to remain productive while benefiting the community.
As a nonprofit organization, we are committed to being responsible stewards of the land and preserving its agricultural value for future generations. We welcome conversations with landowners who share a vision of strengthening local food systems, supporting community agriculture, and creating lasting positive impact.
We are especially interested in properties with access to water, open pasture or tillable acreage, existing farm infrastructure, or land suitable for small-scale diversified farming and community agriculture projects.
Together, we can transform underutilized farmland into a resource that feeds families, educates future generations, and strengthens communities across Georgia.
Desired Transitional Agreement
Description of Desired Transitional Agreement
We are open to a variety of transitional arrangements that make this partnership mutually beneficial for the landowner and Blue Lotus Ministries, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Where possible, we would welcome the opportunity for a tax-deductible land donation or partial donation structure, in accordance with applicable IRS guidelines for charitable contributions. We are also open to negotiating a reduced-cost lease, long-term lease agreement, lease-to-own arrangement, or other flexible partnership model that supports the continued agricultural use of the property.
Our priority is to establish a sustainable and productive farming operation that benefits the community while ensuring the land remains well-maintained, actively utilized, and properly stewarded. We are willing to work closely with landowners to structure an agreement that aligns with their financial, tax, and legacy planning goals while advancing a shared commitment to community impact and agricultural preservation.

Additional Information on Produce or Livestock Needs
Blue Lotus Ministries, Inc. plans to develop a diversified, small-to-medium scale community agricultural operation focused primarily on fresh produce cultivation to support local food security initiatives. Our immediate and primary goal is to grow fruits, vegetables, herbs, and staple crops that can be distributed through our outreach programs, including food assistance for families, seniors, veterans, and underserved households throughout Middle Georgia.
Crop production will emphasize seasonal and high-yield varieties suitable for Georgia’s climate, with a focus on sustainable and soil-conscious farming practices. This may include crops such as leafy greens, squash, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, sweet potatoes, herbs, and other regionally appropriate produce.
While our primary focus is produce-based agriculture, we are open to limited small-scale livestock or animal husbandry in the future if the property and resources allow. This could include poultry or other small livestock systems that align with sustainable farming practices and community education goals. Any livestock activities would be implemented responsibly and in compliance with applicable regulations, with emphasis on humane care, sustainability, and integration into a broader regenerative agriculture model.
Overall, our goal is to establish a resilient and scalable farm system that directly supports food distribution, educational programming, and long-term community development.
Preferred Equipment and Infrastructure
Equipment and Infrastructure Details
Blue Lotus Ministries, Inc. is seeking farmland that may include or provide access to basic agricultural infrastructure to support the development of a sustainable community farm. Ideal properties may include, but are not limited to, tillable acreage, pastureland, water access (well, irrigation, or natural water sources), and existing farm infrastructure such as fencing, barns, storage sheds, greenhouse structures, or utility connections.
We are also seeking opportunities to utilize or develop essential farming equipment and infrastructure over time, including irrigation systems, planting and harvesting tools, cold storage or refrigeration capabilities, and basic land preparation equipment. However, we are flexible and willing to begin operations with minimal infrastructure if necessary and gradually build capacity through grants, donations, and community partnerships.
Our long-term goal is to responsibly develop the property into a productive agricultural site that supports food production, educational programming, and community outreach. We are committed to maintaining all equipment and infrastructure in a responsible manner and ensuring that the land remains productive, safe, and well cared for.
