I come from a long line of farmers, and farming has always felt like something I want to carry forward in my own life. Although I am a beginning farmer myself, my goal is to build something lasting: a farm that can provide for my family, contribute to my community, and continue a tradition that has been part of my family for generations.
I have a deep respect for the land and want to care for it in a way that leaves it healthier and more productive over time. I am drawn to farming not only as a business, but because I genuinely love growing things, working with the land, learning from it, and seeing what thoughtful care can produce.
I currently grow vegetables, herbs, flowers, and medicinal plants on a small scale and am ready to take the next step into farming. I plan to develop a diversified specialty farm centered around cut flowers, culinary and medicinal herbs, seasonal produce, berries, and a small orchard. I hope to sell directly within my community through farmers markets, bouquets and flower subscriptions, local partnerships, and other direct-to-consumer opportunities.
I am ideally looking for approximately 5–10 farmable acres, although I am open to smaller or larger properties when the land and opportunity are a good fit. Reliable water is important, and I would strongly prefer a property with farmer housing or the ability to establish a home. Existing infrastructure is wonderful but not necessary. I am willing to start modestly, put in the work, and build the farm thoughtfully over time.
Ultimately, I am looking for more than acreage. I am looking for a place where I can put down roots, nurture the land, raise food and flowers, and build something my family and community can benefit from for many years to come.
My long-term goal is ownership, but I am open to different paths to get there, including purchasing, seller financing, lease-to-own, a long-term lease with a purchase option, or a succession arrangement with a farmer preparing to retire. I would especially value the opportunity to learn from an experienced farmer who wants to see their land continue to be loved, cared for, and kept in agricultural use.

My long-term goal is land ownership, so I am primarily interested in purchasing a farm or agricultural property. However, I am very open to alternative arrangements that create a path toward long-term tenure or ownership, including seller financing, lease-to-own, a long-term lease with a purchase option, or a farm succession arrangement with a landowner preparing to retire.
I would also consider a partnership or mentorship arrangement where there is a strong fit and a clear long-term path for both parties.
I am actively developing my farm business plan and exploring beginning-farmer financing programs, including USDA/FSA financing, to prepare for the right land opportunity.

I plan to develop a diversified specialty-crop farm centered around cut flowers, culinary and medicinal herbs, seasonal vegetables, berries, and perennial fruit crops.
Cut flowers would be an important part of the operation, with production for bouquets, direct sales, local markets, and potentially florists or events. I am also interested in developing dedicated herb gardens for culinary and traditional herbal uses and establishing perennial crops such as berries, fruit trees, and other crops suited to Georgia's climate.
My goal is to use intensive small-scale production rather than commodity row cropping, allowing a relatively small amount of acreage to support several complementary farm enterprises.
Long term, I would like the farm to be both productive and ecologically diverse, incorporating pollinator habitat, perennial plantings, composting, soil-building practices, and reduced chemical inputs.

Reliable water and access to electricity are the most important infrastructure needs. Farmer housing or the ability to legally establish a residence on the property is strongly preferred.
Existing irrigation, a well or pond, storage, greenhouse/high tunnel, fencing, or cold storage would be valuable but are not required. I am comfortable developing infrastructure gradually and would consider properties that need improvement if they have good agricultural potential, reliable water access, and suitable growing areas.
Good drainage and land that is not routinely subject to flooding are also important considerations.

I am a beginning farmer currently gaining hands-on experience through home food and flower production. I grow and care for vegetables, herbs, flowers, and medicinal plants and have experience with seed starting, container and raised-bed growing, transplanting, harvesting, pest management, and seasonal garden planning.
I have been independently studying small-scale farming, cut-flower production, herbalism, orchard and perennial crop establishment, soil health, irrigation, and sustainable growing practices as I prepare to transition from home-scale growing into a commercial farm.
I am eager to continue learning and would especially value an opportunity where knowledge transfer or mentorship from an experienced or retiring farmer is possible.
