More info: At minimum, we are looking for a property with a small home and a barn for a small number of large animals (one dairy cow, five dairy goats, one to two weaner pigs, etc). We also raise poultry so a facility to house around 100 birds would be ideal. Some farm equipment (tractor) heavily preferred. Fenced pasture of at least 3 acres a huge bonus.

More info: Our base production goals are vegetable and cut flower row cropping with additional gardens for medicinal and culinary herbs and spices; a diverse fruit orchard; nut trees; pastured eggs, poultry, and rabbit; and later on, a small dairy (cow or goat).

Personal experience and production goals summary:

We have been raising free range eggs, pastured broilers, meat rabbits, and quail for the last two years on our small parcel. Since we are limited by the size and layout of our land, we are hoping to move forward with a small farm where it will be possible to expand our current operations in addition to adding small-scale vegetable, herb, and flower production, dairy animals, and a more diverse range of protein options to include pigs, goats, sheep, turkeys, and so on. We are committed to biodiversity, permaculture practices, organic growing, rotational grazing, and high animal welfare.
